About Us

The UK Health Alliance on Climate Change (UKHACC) brings together health professionals to advocate for just responses to the climate and ecological crisis, promote the health benefits that flow from those responses, and empower members and health professionals to make changes in their professional and personal lives to respond to the crisis. The Alliance brings together a wide range of members, including medical, nursing and allied health professional bodies, scientific faculties, royal colleges, and major publications like ‘The Lancet’ and the ‘British Medical Journal’ and represents over 1 million health professionals.

What We Do

UKHACC brings together trusted voices from across the health sector to turn concern into action. We work to ensure that the health impacts of climate change are understood by government, healthcare organisations and healthcare professionals alike.

We use our leadership and influencing power to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build resilience at the pace and scale needed to protect people, health and healthcare from climate change. We are an alliance of health organisations advocating for a just, sustainable, healthy world. We coordinate action, deliver campaigns, and ensure the voice of health professionals are heard on action to mitigate and adapt to climate change and protect the natural environment.
