Across the UK, people are already stepping up for climate and nature. Now the UK is asking our Members of Parliament (MPs) to stand with us — and help shape a future that’s healthier, fairer and more secure for all, with practical leadership. That’s why, on Wednesday 9 July 2025,
thousands of us will be heading to Westminster to tell our MPs: Act Now, to Change Forever. We encourage health professionals to get involved and make the case for action on climate and nature to protect our health.
What is a mass lobby?
A mass lobby is when thousands of people from across the country meet their MPs on the same day to demand urgent political action. It’s one of the most powerful ways to show politicians that climate and nature must be a top priority.
Why now?
After the last election, over 300 new MPs entered Parliament — many are still getting to know their communities and deciding what kind of leaders they want to be. While climate and nature were big issues during the election, we’ve already seen some promises rolled back. That’s why now — one year on — is the perfect time to remind MPs what really matters: a fairer, healthier, safer future for everyone.
We know this works. In past mass lobbies, people coming together face-to-face with their MPs has made a real difference — shaping decisions and building long-term relationships. Let’s do it again, and show our MPs that we’re ready to Act Now, and Change Forever — and we need them to do the same.
This is a moment for everyone who cares about our world and the people in it. Whether you’re a seasoned campaigner or joining your first action, a student or a nurse, a parent or a manager— this is your opportunity to stand up for generations to come.
What to expect on the day?
On the day of the lobby, MPs and constituents will meet at a time and place pre-arranged by The Climate Coalition. All MP meetings will be taking place inside, in venues close to parliament. You’ll join other people from your constituency and speak to your MP together.
Don’t worry if you’ve never participated in a mass lobby before, The Climate Coalition is providing loads of information and training to get you ready for the day.
How to get involved
Its critical that everyone planning to attend registers for the event. Once you register you will receive updates and information on logistics on the day, including the time when your MP is available to meet.
What are the asks?
We’re asking MPs to back bold, practical action by committing to:
1. Deliver vital funding to communities hit hardest by climate change here and around the world
2. Cut bills, back UK jobs, and secure a greener fairer future for all
3. Restore nature to create a safer, healthier future
