The Green Surgery Report is endorsed by the following organisations

The Association for Perioperative Practice aims to enhance the quality of care and patient safety in the NHS and the independent sector throughout the UK. The organisation also works to encourage the exchange of professional information between members and co-operation with other professional bodies.

The Association of Anaesthetists is an independent organisation that speaks up freely and openly for the interests of anaesthetists and their patients. The Association also influences policy, raises public awareness and are at the forefront of safer anaesthesia, across the world.

The Association of Surgeons in Training represents the views of surgical trainees through representation on the councils of the four Royal Colleges of Surgeons, Speciality Advisory Committees and the Joint Committee on Surgical Training as well as numerous other working parties. Unlike many other junior doctor trainee groups, ASiT remains independent of other professional medical organisations and is run by trainees, for trainees, to promote excellence in training.

Brighton and Sussex Medical School school is fully committed to the principles of Outcomes for Graduates. The Centre for Perioperative Care is a cross-organisational, multidisciplinary initiative led by the Royal College of Anaesthetists to facilitate cross-organisational working on perioperative care for patient benefit. The initiative is a partnership between patients and the public, other professional stakeholders including Medical Royal Colleges, NHS England and the equivalent bodies responsible for healthcare in the other UK devolved nations.

Green Health Wales is a network of health and care professionals across Wales whose aim is to make health and care services climate smart. Their vision is sustainable healthcare that protects the health of people and the planet.

The Greener NHS programme works with staff, hospitals and partners. It builds on the great work being done by Trusts across the country, sharing ideas on how to reduce the impact on public health and the environment, save money and reach net carbon zero.

The Health Foundation focuses on improving people’s health and reducing inequalities, supporting radical innovation and improvement in health and care services, and providing evidence and analysis to improve health and care policy.

The Infection Prevention Society aims to be a leading influence on IPC practice at a local, national and international level by 2024. The organisation strives to fulfil its vision by informing, promoting and sustaining evidence-based infection prevention policy and practice to create a health and care system where no person’s health and wellbeing is harmed by preventable infection.

NHS Scotland is the publicly funded healthcare system in Scotland and one of the four systems that make up the National Health Service in the United Kingdom.

The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons is the leading advocate for surgical standards, professionalism and surgical education in Australia and New Zealand

The Royal College of Nursing is a membership organisation of over 465,000 registered nurses, midwives, health care assistants and nursing students.

The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists works to improve women’s healthcare across the world. The organisation is committed to developing the accessibility and quality of education, training and assessments for doctors wishing to specialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada partners with patients, Fellows, residents and other health care collaborators to: lead specialty medical education, assessment and accreditation standards; promote the specialist physician role through research, advocacy and health policy; enable specialist physicians to adapt and continuously improve; and foster patient trust and confidence in specialist physicians.

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow is a worldwide community of inspiring health professionals working together to advance the profession and improve patient care.

The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland is the national training body for surgery in Ireland.

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh ensures the safety of patients and provides them with the best possible care. It does this by: championing the highest standards of surgical and dental practice; through their provision of courses and educational programmes, training, examinations and Continuous Professional Development; liaising with external medical bodies; and by influencing healthcare policy across the UK.

The Royal College of Surgeons of England provides world-class education, assessment and development to 30,000 surgeons, dental professionals and members of the wider surgical and dental care teams, at all stages of their career. Its vision is to see excellent surgical care for everyone. The organisation does this by setting professional standards, facilitating research and championing the best outcomes for patients.

The role of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons is to safeguard the health and welfare of animals committed to veterinary care through the regulation of the educational, ethical and clinical standards of veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses, thereby protecting the interests of those dependent on animals, and assuring public health. It also acts as an impartial source of informed opinion on relevant veterinary matters.

The Sustainable Healthcare Coalition is a healthcare sector led group that looks for the greatest opportunities to inspire sustainable practices in healthcare through the collaboration of its members. It aims to inform and inspire global health systems to make the transition to sustainability.

The UK Health Alliance on Climate Change coordinates action, provide leadership, and amplify the voice of health professionals across the UK.
